Volunteers are always welcome & encouraged.

Whether you have a little or a lot of time to give, there are a variety of volunteer opportunities available at SFE. Some of these opportunities include:

Youth Committee Advisory Member
The youth committee is comprised of students from SHS, GPHS, and AIM high schools. We're looking for volunteers who enjoy working with youth and are interested in leading lead this group. Because volunteers work directly with youth, a background check is required.

Community Connections Volunteer
SFE partners with groups within and beyond our Snohomish community (businesses, faith groups, law enforcement, schools & other non-profits). We're looking for liaisons between SFE and these groups. What organizations are you involved with that might make a good partner with our group?

School Liaison
We are looking for a parent/adult from EACH district school to help us engage and share information with students at all levels (elementary, middle, and high school) .

School District Liaison
This position will help us get organized and communicate plans and activities with our individual school liaisons.

Social Media Volunteer
We are looking for a few good people to handle day-to-day social media posting across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Social media is one of out best tools for engagement and needs to be done regularly so this position can be fairly time consuming. Would be a great opportunity for a group of friends to share the role.

Graphic Design Volunteer
We are looking for someone (or a couple of people) with graphic design and copy writing skills to help us with event flyers and art for social media posts.

Event Volunteer
SFE offers a community event every quarter, and we'd love help with planning and publicity!

Meeting Liaison
Attend City Council and School Board meetings with the goal of keeping the SFE Board updated on pertinent developments.

Bystander Intervention Trainer
We would love to train you to give the Bystander Intervention Training so that you might offer it in Snohomish and in your other communities.

Thank You Note Writer
Help us keep up with our hand-written thank you cards to donors, teachers, community members and businesses.

Rapid Response/Phone Tree Volunteer
We are looking for volunteers who will mobilize to call, write, or meet with local officials in the event of any racially charged incidents.

Event Table Representative
SFE is occasionally offered the opportunity to table at local events such as Kla Ha Ya Days or races.
